Today, while I was driving the kids to the park
Jay: Where are we going?
Viki: We have to pick Papa from the train station first and then we go to the park.
Jay: Ok.....
When I reached a set of traffic lights, it turned red. We waited for quite some time and suddenly out of the blue
Jay: Quick lah lights..move on!!
He was asking the lights to turn green ! Then i turned around to look at him and he had the frown on his face...
Viki: Why are you looking so worried?
Jay: Aiyo, better hurry, I am scared the rain will come.
See, even little children have stress!! He was really stressed thinking that we had to pick Jeff before going to the park . Further more, it has been raining for so many days and we have not gone to the park for about a week as it rains every evening!

Crocs vs Clarks
Like me, my children have very few pairs of shoes. Jayden has two pairs of imitation crocs and one pair of Clarks.
In the past month, he often only wears his Crocs...he always tell me that it is more comfortable...but this morning, Jeff and I discovered the truth.
If he wears his Clarks to school, he will have to take it off, roll his socks and then stuff the socks into the shoes before putting them away into the shoe cabinet. But if he wears his Crocs, he can cut short the whole process ! (Cos he doesnt wear socks with his Crocs!)

How heavy is this bag?
Yesterday we went swimming at Lizi's house. Each time, the trip to her house to swim is very very tiresome as we have loads of stuff to bring along.
So, we decided that since the kids are quite big now, they can carry their own share of the bags. We gave Jayden the blue bagfilled with floaters ONLY!
Jay: I don't want to carry this bag!
Jeff: Why?
Jay: You see my hand (while shaking his arm) it is very soft, cannot carry anything!
Jeff then took the bag and just chucked it away into a nearby bush...Jayden was so scared, he quickily carried the bag with no further complaints. After all, he needed to use his floaters!
Today is Sunday and again we went over to Lizi's house to swim.
Viki : Jayden, please carry your bag!
Jay: Aiyo, this Mama ah!
Reluctantly he took his bag and waited under the tree while we unloaded the other stuff.
Viki: Ok, lets go.
Jay: I can't move, it is too heavy...I got rocks in this bag!
However, we persevered and alas, he did carry his bag and he made sure we noticed that it was very very very heavy!!!!

Ball vs Sphere
This morning before Jayden left for school, there was a cartoon on tv.
There were three objects being shown.
Jay: Mama, see, this is a cube! (Pointing towards the 1st object)
Me: Wah, clever boy [Feeling really proud that all my money spent on "The Children's House" (which is his kindergarten) is well worth it]
Jay: Mama, see this one...this is a pyramid... (Pointing towards the 2nd object)
Me: Wah, clever boy
Jay: Mama...what is this hah? (Pointing towards the 3rd object)
Me: Oh, I know... it is a ball
Jay: (Frowns) No lah... not ball ..it is a "spere" (meaning SPHERE)!!!!!!!

Macaroni Soup
At the park....
Jay: Mama, where is Raful?( A friend at the park)
Me: I think he has gone home. It is very late already.
Jay: Why has he gone home?
Me: Because it is time for dinner
Jay: Macaroni Soup?
Moral of the story: Do not repeat your recipes frequently!!!
My default receipe is MACARONI SOUP. Sometimes I cook this meal for the family 3 times a week especially when I am lazy, out of ideas as to what to cook or just plain bored with any other recipes.
